Dog Training

My name is Tamryn Fudge. I help people bring balance to the lives they share with their dogs. Whether we are working with the new possibilities of a puppy, the challenge of aggression or the mystery of insecurity; my goal is always to facilitate balance.

My methods are grounded in compassion, common sense and intuition - drawn from my 20 years of working with dogs. The work I do is less about obedience and dominance and more about careful observation with fresh eyes and an open heart.

When approached from this perspective, the individual needs of both dog and human are addressed in such a way that deeper change is possible. My intention is to facilitate the best possible outcome in every situation.

In addition to dog training, I also offer Shamanic Readings and Healings, which can be used in conjunction with dog training sessions or on their own.

Shamanism is an ancient form of energy medicine. Shamanism can be helpful when there seems to be more than meets the eye; like cases of unusual, extreme and/or unexplainable behaviour. Also in complex situations such as chronic health issues, trauma recovery and aggression.

Shamanic Spirit Readings offer an exchange of information, messages and insights with your pet (alive or deceased) from the realm of non-ordinary reality – the unseen dimension of energy and spirit. Choose a distance reading or a telephone reading to experience this special connection.

Shamanic Energy Healings can be helpful in identifying and moving past challenges that may be physical, mental, emotional or spiritual in nature - offering the opportunity to address yours or your pets’ well-being from a different perspective. Choose a distance healing or we can work together in person.

The Puppy Program offers a private session to answer your questions and build your confidence and a series of dog daycare visits to socialize your pup and build his or her confidence.

Includes:
- One Private Session (approx. 60-min.), at your home* (Kamloops)
- 2 full-day or 3 short-day visits at our dog daycare (First visit Mon-Thurs only. Drop off before 11am)

Cost: $99 + HST

The Private Session Program is for dogs with no aggression or other complex behaviour problems. We can work on everyday issues like leash-pulling, coming when called, manners or boundaries. The series of 3 sessions helps keep you on track and moving forward.

Includes:
- One private session (approx. 90-min.), at your home (Kamloops)
- Two follow-up private sessions (approx 60-min.), at your home (Kamloops)
- (sessions are usually scheduled 2 weeks apart)

Cost: $185 + HST

Aggression and Behaviour Problem Program back to top

For dogs with aggression or other behaviour problems. My compassionate approach is very helpful in diffusing difficult situations and helping families live more easily with their challenging dogs. The series of 3 sessions allows us to deepen the work so that you and your dog can experience more complete shifts in behaviour

Includes:
- One Assessment/Foundation private session (approx. 2-hr), at your home (Kamloops)
- Two follow-up private sessions (approx 90-min.), at your home (Kamloops)
- (sessions are usually scheduled 2 weeks apart)

Cost: $235 + HST

Single Private Sessions/Assessments back to top

Single private sessions are pay as you go. One session is sometimes enough to give you new ideas or a shift in perspective. And if you find you would like more sessions after that, we can schedule follow-up sessions.

First session: $85 + HST
Follow-up sessions: $60 + HST per hour

*NOTE: if you live outside of Kamloops, and we decide it is important that I observe your dog in his or her own environment, there may be an additional travel fee for sessions held in your home.

However, if we decide it is not important that I observe your dog in his or her home environment, you can come into Kamloops to have your session at our training facility. In which case, there is no additional travel fee. Sessions held at our training facility are limited to evenings, as we have dog daycare in the building until 5:30 PM.
